BSR.011 – 312 kW ewers district heating transfer station –
For more efficient heating in Lenkwerk No.1
2022-10-21
Initial situation
The Lenkwerk is an old company site in the Bielefeld Mitte district, then known as the Luftwaffe clothing office. In recent years, several well-known architectural buildings have been built around the Lenkwerk Quartier, such as the Lenkwerk Plaza and now the new Lenkwerk No.1. Nowadays, the Lenkwerk Quartier is home to, for example, the well-known classic car museum, workshops for classic cars as well as offices, apartments, gastronomy and much more.
In Lenkwerk No.1, the building is heated with district heating via an ewers station. This is a special construction with a distribution system for 7 heating circuits. A separating system provides for the optimal ramp heating of the underground car park. The other heating circuits are used to heat areas such as the floor heating in the showroom, radiators and door curtains in Lenkwerk No.1.
