BSR.017 — 2 MW ewers district heating transfer station for the BVG training campus of the future in Berlin

2023-06-26

Initial situation

BVG is building for the future – and first-class training for the next generation of employees. On more than 22,000 square meters of commercial space, a new training center is being built for up to 700 trainees, in 13 varied trades and various dual courses of study, for the mobility of tomorrow.

An ultra-modern building is being constructed on Machandelweg for the skilled workers of tomorrow. On four floors, the new training center offers a total of around 20,300 square meters of usable space. For this, ewers is supplying a district heating transfer station with a total output of 2 MW, consisting of two equivalent submodules. The system is designed for connection to a Vattenfall district heating transfer module. Vattenfall Stadtwärme in Berlin has a very low primary energy factor of only 0.44 in the interconnected network.

The building technology meets the latest standards for air conditioning and ventilation in training rooms and workshops.

The BVG training campus on Machandelweg in Berlin is scheduled to go into operation by fall 2023.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to us at any time.
